Bamboo Bill flute Kill er! A flute straight out of the KB trilogy

This is a traditional Japanese bamboo flute called "Yokobue". It's tuned to the Minor Pentatonic scale which means all the notes "go together". Anything you play will sound good! If you're looking to "de-stress" and increase relaxation, then I recommend this flute. After a long day, you can come home, pull out a beautiful, hand made bamboo flute and just jam your cares away!

It also makes a great gift for anyone who is into Japanese Culture or even just looking for a cool, unique piece of art that can be prominently displayed and be, either a great conversation starter or just say something about you without saying anything! Just like traditional Yokobue, this one has one (or more) closed off bamboo chambers which acts as a sort of resonance chamber. Most Americans remember the flute David Carradine played in the hit movie "Kill Bill". That flute was a traditional Yokobue but most just call it a "Kill Bill flute".

Incidentally, David Carradine actually made the flute he played! While these flutes are well tuned and can be played either solo or in an ensemble, I craft them for the same purpose as the originals; for relaxation and meditation. These flutes are well tuned using the Minor Pentatonic. This means that any 2 notes played next to each other "match" or "go together". In other words, all the notes mix well together and are pleasing to hear. You can just relax and play from the heart. Each flute is hand crafted and individually made but are also all made from real bamboo and come in around 34 inches in length. The extra, closed off bamboo chamber can be used as a sort of shoulder rest when playing. The one you receive will look similar to those in the pictures but will be as unique as a fingerprint.
